I'm Nailah Queen, CEO, wife, mother, sister, business mentor, innovator, self-care advocate, influencer, travel enthusiast, philanthropist, and serial entrepreneur. Years ago while still working a full-time career, I came to an internal crossroad and I decided to step out on faith and become an entrepreneur. It's crazy because I never really thought about my "why". Why do I get up each day and what motivates me and such? Well, when I ask myself that question, it was so that I could leave a legacy for my son and family. I have to remind myself of the definition:
"A legacy is a part of a person that lives on long after that person has passed. A legacy also leaves behind the story of a person, so they are not forgotten. Legacies are important pathways or the future to follow or to be guided by in order to make better decisions in life."...like WOW.
I started Royalty Escapes Travel Agency over 6 years ago and since then have opened Realeza Styles Travel Clothing and Accessory Line and the newly emerging Regally Insane Hair and Body Health Line....all while still maintaining my full-time position with the State. I am very involved in mentoring other entrepreneurs and travel agents just starting out and also connecting with those who are seasoned to build the African American entrepreneur community. It's important to be part of the change we want to see and entrepreneurship allows us to have a seat at the table without having to ask for it.
